Civic engagement is not the sole property of government or community members or community institutions – it is everyone’s responsibility.
Health is a cultural, socio-economic, political-environmental issue as well as a personal and individal one.
For now – let’s start to discuss this and consider why this might be important.
I consider the following links as highly relevant to this debate.
From Australia – http://www.onlineopinion.com.au/view.asp?article=5794
From Iraq – http://www.miacat.com/ART_Hope_IRAQ.html
From Malka Kopell in California – http://www.cacities.org/index.jsp?displaytype=11&zone=ilsg§ion=coll&sub_sec=&tert=&story=25968
and now you decide – perhaps Maria Altmann has a point where she advocates “A Political Will for Action” in the United Nations >Economic and social development >Department of Economic and Social Affairs – E-forum
